West Brighton Community Local Development Corp.

The West Brighton Community Local Development Corporation (WBCLDC) is a not for profit organization that has been serving the community of Staten Island since 1981 and in the late 90’s expanded services Island wide to provide small business development programs & technical assistance.

The mission of the West Brighton Community Local Development Corporation is to provide technical assistance to business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs to ensure their individual growth thereby providing sustainable economic growth on Staten Island.

(WBCLDC), serving the Staten Island Business Community since 1981, offers programming to assist new entrepreneurs and existing businesses.

Our one-on-one business counseling and seminars on timely business topics are available to all Staten Islanders. The Business Outreach Center of Staten Island offers FREE programs to assist in any stage of business growth- start-ups to experienced business owner.

Our Small Business Outreach Group promotes peer to peer learning to help your business grow! Connect with businesses to learn strategies to navigate through challenging economic times.

The Netpenuer- S.I. Web Group is a  peer to peer learning group to assist locally based on-line businesses succeed. Whether a portion of your sales are on-line or all, the Netpenuers is a wonderful resource available to Staten Island entrepenuers and Small Businesses.

WBCLDC works with small businesses and community members to promote the vitality of our Town Centers. We administer and founded the First and Only Business Improvement District on Staten ISland, the Forest Avenue BID. We work with businesses within the Castleton Avenue Commercial Corridor and Victory Blvd-Westerleigh-Castleton Corners Commercial Corridor of Staten Island, NY.

WBCLDC also provides programs designed to address quality of life issues in the West Brighton community.

Our Brownfield Opportunity Area of West-New Brighton- focuses on the redevelopment of a healthy and viable waterfront for the West Brighton and New Brighton Community of Staten Island.

The S.I. Green Initiative works with the community residents and businesses to create a more sustainable Staten Island. Our Green Business Initiative works directly with small businesses to GO GREEN , which helps businesses to become more energy efficient, save money with greener business practices and the planet.
